This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida, +5 more states.

📋 Description

• Lead initiatives for New Product Development, Product Enhancements, and Sustaining Engineering within a specific product line.

• Collaborate closely with Product Design Managers and cross-functional teams to transform concepts into reality.

• Work alongside engineers, project managers, and fellow designers.

• Oversee design projects to pinpoint potential risks and make adjustments as needed.

• Conduct research and engage with various departments to address gaps in design scope.

• Create designs that are in line with manufacturing capabilities.

• Gather and utilize information from engineering standards, schematics, as well as purchasing and manufacturing specifications.

• Prepare, issue, and modify drawings and Bills of Material.

⛳️ Requirements

• Strong proficiency in 3D design software (CREO) and a solid understanding of 3D Design Intent Concepts.

• Extensive mechanical design knowledge.

• Experience with system or large assembly layouts.

• Familiarity with sheet metal construction and Design for Manufacturing (DFM).

• Skills in drawing creation and best practices for drawing preparation.

• Knowledge of PDM system-related file management processes.

• Capability to navigate ambiguity in design specifications and identify and resolve scope gaps.

• Understanding of manufacturing processes and ensuring designs are compatible with manufacturing capabilities.

• Familiarity with design procedures, engineering standards, schematics, and specifications for the preparation, release, and revision of drawings and Bills of Material.

• Experience with CREO.

• A Technical/Associate Degree in Mechanical Design/Drafting with at least 2 years of relevant experience, or 5 years of experience in place of a degree.

• Competence in sheet metal, piping, and large assembly design.

• Must be a US Citizen and/or a Permanent Resident of the United States.
