Regional Interior Design Assistant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Support the Manager of Interior Design and the Interior Designers in the creation and execution of model homes.

• Collaborate with Interior Designers on conceptual design, space planning, material selection, and procurement.

• Assist with CAD drafting and space planning under the mentorship of senior designers and/or managers.

• Oversee the material library, which includes samples, catalogs, and other resources.

• Liaise with vendors to obtain quotes for custom orders and inquire about lead times.

• Contribute to sourcing and procurement activities.

• Prepare and maintain project documentation, such as purchase orders, meeting notes, agendas, presentations, and follow-up materials.

• Participate in model installations as needed.

• Manage multiple projects concurrently.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor of Arts degree is preferred.

• 1-3 years of experience in Interior Design or a related field.

• Proficiency in CAD, Photoshop, In-Design, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint on the Macintosh platform.

• Strong organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.

• Capability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

• Ability to meet deadlines while maintaining a professional demeanor.

• Excellent work ethic along with communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to perform well under pressure and accept constructive criticism.

• Must possess an unrestricted California Motor Vehicle License.

• Moderate regional travel, including overnight trips and flights, is required.

• Capability to operate computer equipment, and perform tasks such as speaking, hearing, bending, stooping, reaching, lifting, and moving/carrying up to 25 lbs.

• Finger dexterity is necessary.
