Strategic Projects Lead – Studio PMO

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Establish the project management office for studio operations, incorporating a comprehensive overview of ongoing projects, consistent review schedules, and defined escalation processes.

• Manage the most intricate studio initiatives from initial scoping through to final delivery.

• Take ownership of project timelines, objectives, budgets, and associated risks.

• Convert customer requirements into actionable delivery strategies and anticipate capacity needs ahead of demand.

• Synchronize hardware, engineering, operations, and partner teams under a singular plan.

• Resolve cross-functional obstacles effectively.

• Recruit, mentor, and guide a team of project managers.

• Provide weekly updates on project status and risks to the Head of Studio.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5 to 8+ years of experience in technical program management, management consulting, product operations, or operations leadership.

• A minimum of 2 years in a team management role.

• Proven track record of leading cross-functional initiatives to meet fixed deadlines, preferably involving hardware.

• Capability to transform ambiguous requirements into a well-defined plan and offer clear trade-off suggestions to leadership.

• Background in hardware pilots, computer vision, robotics data collection, or production environments such as film or manufacturing is a plus.

• Experience in scaling delivery through external vendors or partners is advantageous.

• Candidates must have authorization to work in the country where they reside.

• Regular use of AI tools as an integral part of daily work is required.
