Strategic Project Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Take charge of and execute strategic projects within Pinnacle East’s Texas and Wisconsin markets, focusing on physical plant and construction initiatives.

• Oversee and manage strategic construction projects from their inception and scope development through to bidding, contract creation, construction, final approval, and project close-out.

• Collaborate with the Director of Construction to develop a rolling capital forecast covering a 5- to 10-year period.

• Assess potential property acquisitions regarding the condition of physical plants, associated risks, and the impact of capital costs.

• Conduct site evaluations for Pinnacle communities and assist in establishing objectives to enhance assessment scores.

• Examine market data to pinpoint opportunities and vulnerabilities.

• Set objectives to address operational deficiencies identified in site assessments.

• Co-facilitate bi-weekly meetings with Plant and Maintenance Leadership teams.

• Monitor CapEx budgets and communicate capital expenditure status to the Director of Construction and VP of Operations.

• Share information and provide training related to CapEx policies, project approvals, implementation, closeout, and financial issues.

• Send project summaries to Market Leaders as necessary.

• Offer strategic updates on projects and capital expenditures during Pinnacle leadership meetings.

• Identify technologies, suppliers, and external partners aimed at minimizing construction and physical plant operating expenses.

• Participate in candidate interviews and provide input regarding Maintenance Director positions.

• Exemplify Pennant Culture and establish expectations concerning organizational culture.

• Execute additional responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Construction or VP of Operations.

• Proficient in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding the English language.

• Capable of managing a heavy workload within specified timeframes.

• Able to quickly adjust priorities as circumstances change.

• Must meet the minimum age requirements set by state regulations governing the community.

• Possess good moral character.

• Must be able to obtain clearance for criminal history.

• Compliance with all training requirements is essential.

• Must maintain good standing with state and federal authorities.

• Not listed on any government exclusion lists.

• Ability to make independent decisions when necessary.

• Maintain composure and level-headedness during emergencies.

• Professional appearance and demeanor.

• Capability to stand and/or walk for up to eight hours daily.

• Ability to sit, kneel, bend, reach, and stretch regularly.

• Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds and supporting weights up to 70 pounds.

• Expected to engage in continuing education focused on Construction, Life Safety, and Facilities Management best practices.
