This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.
• Oversee and lead the procurement function for Shield and its associated ShieldCos.
• Manage vendor relationships, expenditure oversight, and procurement operations from start to finish.
• Direct the commercial strategy and vendor relationships across software, hardware, telecommunications, distribution, and service suppliers.
• Lead negotiations for contracts, renewals, and terminations while ensuring favorable pricing, terms, and service levels.
• Create and maintain a centralized calendar for contracts and renewals.
• Develop and monitor an organization-wide perspective on vendor spending, identifying opportunities for consolidation.
• Establish procurement policies, approval workflows, and purchasing controls in collaboration with Accounting and FP&A.
• Build a scalable procure-to-pay process and assist with budgeting and forecasting activities.
• Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders regarding software and hardware acquisitions, license management, and vendor due diligence.
• Support acquisitions and entity integrations by evaluating vendor agreements, identifying overlaps, and transitioning companies to preferred vendor and purchasing frameworks.
• Manage vendor performance through scorecards, business reviews, and escalation procedures.
• Administer and enhance procurement systems and workflows, including NetSuite and Ramp.
• Develop KPIs and reporting on spending, savings, and vendor performance for Finance and executive leadership.
• Assist in budgeting and forecasting cycles with vendor spending analysis and renewal projections.
• Advocate for AI, automation, analytics, and procurement tools.
• Implement process enhancements that minimize cycle time, yield efficiency gains, and ensure compliance with policies.
• Establish a vendor inventory, renewal calendar, consistent procurement workflow, and consolidation achievements across major spending categories within the first year.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Supply Chain, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• A minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, or vendor management, preferably within a technology, IT services, or multi-entity setting.
• Extensive experience and expertise with IT cloud, software, and technology providers.
• Proven success in negotiating complex vendor agreements and achieving measurable cost savings.
• Strong grasp of contract structures, licensing models (SaaS, per-seat, consumption-based), and vendor risk management.
• Excellent analytical skills with advanced proficiency in Excel; adept at aggregating and analyzing spending data across multiple entities.
• Strong communication, relationship-building, and cross-functional team facilitation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels, from ShieldCo operators to executive leadership.
• Self-motivated and responsible, capable of managing multiple negotiations and deadlines simultaneously.

• Comfortable operating in analytics- and automation-enabled environments.
• Demonstrated adaptability and a mindset focused on continuous improvement to drive process enhancements.
• Experience in establishing or enhancing a procurement function in a fast-paced, high-growth, or acquisitive environment.
• Familiarity with NetSuite ERP and Ramp expense management.
• Knowledge of MSP-relevant vendor ecosystems (Microsoft CSP, distribution partners such as Pax8/Ingram, RMM/PSA tooling, telecommunications).
• Experience in supporting mergers, acquisitions, or multi-entity integrations.
• Fully remote work arrangement.
• Approximately quarterly travel for company meetings, training sessions, and team collaboration events.
