This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Spearhead the strategic sourcing and procurement process for GPUs, accelerated compute platforms, servers, networking, storage, infrastructure software, colocation, power, IP transit, dark fiber, maintenance, warranties, lifecycle support, and other essential infrastructure.
• Formulate and implement sourcing strategies that enhance total cost of ownership, commercial terms, supply availability, performance, and strategic value.
• Drive negotiations for capital acquisitions, framework agreements, volume commitments, and strategic supplier partnerships.
• Foster competitive tension among vendors and evaluate market economics.
• Cultivate and sustain executive-level relationships with OEMs, component manufacturers, colocation providers, and channel partners.
• Enhance pricing, allocations, product availability, lead times, financing, warranties, support, roadmap visibility, technology access, capacity commitments, escalation paths, and partnerships.
• Collaborate with Finance, Engineering, and Operations to assess lifecycle costs, density, power consumption, utilization, support expenses, deployment timelines, and revenue-generating potential.
• Create commercial models for infrastructure investments and offer strategic recommendations and alternatives to leadership.
• Optimize infrastructure cost per unit of compute and return on invested capital.
• Convert infrastructure growth forecasts into procurement and capacity pipelines.
• Anticipate supply limitations and devise multi-sourcing strategies.
• Maintain awareness of manufacturing cycles, component lead times, product roadmaps, and end-of-life schedules.
• Collaborate with Legal and Finance to structure commercial contracts focusing on SLAs, liability, price protection, and supply guarantees.
• Establish procurement workflows, approval thresholds, and supplier performance metrics.
• Ensure supplier compliance with the Supplier Code of Conduct, security standards, and background verification protocols.
• Work in close partnership with executive leadership, engineering, finance, and operations.
• Over 10 years of strategic sourcing, procurement, or commercial leadership experience concentrated on data center hardware, hyperscale cloud, or enterprise IT infrastructure.
• Demonstrated success in negotiating complex, multi-million-dollar contracts for hardware, colocation, and software.
• Established executive network within the data center, server OEM, networking, and component supplier ecosystems.
• Profound understanding of GPU/accelerated computing architectures, high-performance networking, and data center economics.
• Strong skills in financial modeling, including TCO analysis and capital investment assessment.
• Exceptional contract negotiation and executive presentation abilities.
• Executive presence to represent Denvr alongside senior leadership at significant global technology firms.
• Comprehensive understanding of technology go-to-market strategies and OEM margin frameworks.
• Technical fluency that connects engineering specifications with C-suite commercial negotiations.
