This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Provide strategic leadership and guidance for global direct sourcing, procurement, and supplier management.
• Develop and implement a global sourcing and procurement strategy aligned with the Global VP and business objectives.
• Enhance total cost of ownership, supply chain efficiency, and resilience.
• Build and lead a global Direct Materials sourcing team comprising three professionals.
• Establish global metrics and KPI measurement tools utilizing best-in-class benchmarks.
• Lead, monitor, and mentor the sourcing team on key performance indicators and initiatives.
• Keep track of category markets, industries, cost drivers, and megatrends.
• Provide insights on economic outlook to inform category strategies and identify opportunities and risks.
• Manage personnel involved in executing the strategic sourcing process.
• Support strategy development, negotiations, and contract strategies for significant global business agreements.
• Create frameworks for supplier selection, evaluation, and performance management.
• Negotiate global direct-material contracts, ensuring favorable terms, risk mitigation, and compliance.
• Update and improve contract templates.
• Drive supplier innovation through the Supplier Relationship Management framework.
• Collaborate with R&D, operations, finance, quality, planning, and logistics stakeholders.
• Implement sourcing processes, tools, and analytics to enhance decision-making and supply-base visibility.
• Ensure continuity of supply and price certainty while managing geopolitical, financial, and operational risks.
• Lead KPI deployment in alignment with financial and supply-chain performance objectives.
• Implement Supply Chain Financing solutions with the VP of Global Procurement to extend payment terms and enhance DPO and CCC.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and industry standards.
• Advocate for sustainability, diversity, and corporate social responsibility in the global supply chain.
• Report sourcing performance, cost savings, and risk metrics to senior leadership.
• Complete other assigned duties as needed.
• Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
• MBA preferred.
• 10 years of progressive experience in global sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management.
• Minimum of 3 years in leadership positions.
• Experience and a proven record of deploying AI for purchasing professionals.
• Proven track record of building effective teams across all direct material categories.
• Strong business leadership and management skills.
• Experience managing metric-oriented performance targets.
• Expertise in negotiating and managing complex global supplier agreements and partnerships.
• Experience in a continuous improvement environment with a successful year-on-year track record.
• Ability to operate successfully in an agile, highly matrixed environment.
• Experience in building and managing teams and direct reports.
• Expertise in multicultural negotiations, contracting, and supplier management activities.
• Experience leading large, globally complex projects.
• Strong financial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, and business case development.
• Excellent leadership, communication, collaboration, presentation, and influencing skills.
• Strong change-management capabilities.
• Strategic thinking with a demonstrated track record of delivering cost savings, supplier innovation, and operational efficiencies.
• Proficient in MS Office applications (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word).
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally, up to 20%.
• LEAN and Kaizen experience preferred.
• A scientific approach to problem solving is preferred.
• Familiarity with the 5/6 step sourcing approach preferred.
• Experience in developing and executing direct material strategies preferred.
• Knowledge of continuous improvement and Six Sigma concepts and methodologies preferred.
• Excellent negotiation skills preferred.
• Oracle or equivalent ERP experience preferred.
• Proficiency in Spanish preferred.
