Software Strategic Sourcing Manager – Procurement

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Lead the strategic sourcing process for new software acquisitions, which includes conducting needs assessments, managing RFx processes, and negotiating enterprise agreements.

• Take ownership of the renewal management for current software contracts, starting reviews 90 or more days prior to expiration.

• Collaborate with the Technical Data and Innovation teams to analyze utilization and discover savings through license optimization, consolidation, and the removal of redundant applications.

• Work alongside IT, Security, Legal, and business stakeholders to assess suppliers.

• Negotiate agreements for SaaS and perpetual licenses, covering pricing models, SLAs, data security conditions, and exit clauses.

• Sustain supplier relationships by conducting business reviews, monitoring performance, and resolving issues.

• Provide market intelligence and sourcing insights to the IT Category Manager.

• Engage in special projects and fulfill other assigned responsibilities.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's Degree is required.

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, and supplier management is required.

• Direct experience in negotiating software and SaaS agreements is essential.

• Profound understanding of software licensing models, including subscription, perpetual, named user, concurrent, and consumption-based models.

• Strong analytical skills – comfortable working with spend data, utilization metrics, and total cost of ownership (TCO) modeling.

• Experience with enterprise software vendors such as Microsoft, Salesforce, Smartsheets, Adobe, and others.

• Familiarity with SaaS management platforms like Zylo, Productiv, Flexera, or similar tools.
