This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Establish and enhance the strategic innovation agenda for Siemens Healthineers Diagnostics, ensuring alignment with enterprise priorities, clinical requirements, and long-term growth targets.
• Recognize and rank clinical and technological unmet needs, emerging innovation sectors, market dynamics, and competitive trends to guide business, investment, and R&D pipeline strategies.
• Spearhead cross-functional, enterprise-wide innovation initiatives utilizing a structured stage-gated process to outline, assess, mitigate risks, negotiate, and launch strategic and operational opportunities.
• Conduct market, clinical, technical, intellectual property, and asset valuation evaluations for licensing, collaboration, partnership, venture investment, and M&A opportunities.
• Develop and maintain portfolio analytics, key performance indicators (KPIs), standard work processes, and performance insights to facilitate data-driven strategies.
• Present clear and concise recommendations, ready for executive review, to senior leadership to shape business strategies.
• Collaborate with senior stakeholders across Strategy & Business Development, Marketing, R&D, Medical Affairs, Customer Service, and Commercial Operations.
• Affect investment decisions, portfolio direction, and the innovation roadmap for Diagnostics.
• A bachelor's degree is mandatory; an advanced degree is preferred, especially with a focus on clinical, scientific, engineering, or healthcare disciplines.
• Over 10 years of experience in the healthcare sector, including medtech, life sciences, pharmaceuticals, consulting, investing, or similar environments.
• More than 5 years in strategy, business development, corporate development, management consulting, venture investing, open innovation, or related positions.
• A solid understanding of the diagnostics and broader healthcare ecosystem, which includes clinical workflows, providers, payers, pharmaceuticals, research institutions, and emerging tech firms.
• Proven track record of leading enterprise-level, cross-functional strategic innovation initiatives through structured evaluation and decision-gate processes.
• Experience in evaluating external opportunities via market and technical diligence, intellectual property analysis, asset valuation, and strategic fit assessments.
• Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders, create executive- and Board-ready recommendations, negotiate effectively, and manage external partnerships with strong business acumen, analytical precision, and executive presence.
• Willingness to collaborate across global time zones.
• Capability to work with controlled technology in compliance with US export control laws.
