This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Define and enhance the strategic innovation agenda for Siemens Healthineers Diagnostics, ensuring alignment with enterprise priorities, clinical requirements, and long-term growth goals.
β’ Identify and rank clinical and technological unmet needs, emerging areas of innovation, market trends, and competitive dynamics to guide business, investment, and R&D pipeline strategy.
β’ Spearhead cross-functional, enterprise-level innovation initiatives through a structured stage-gated process to outline, assess, mitigate risks, negotiate, and launch strategic and operational opportunities.
β’ Direct market, clinical, technical, intellectual property, and asset valuation assessments for licensing, collaborations, partnerships, venture investments, and M&A opportunities.
β’ Develop and maintain portfolio analytics, KPIs, standardized work processes and elements, and performance insights to support data-driven strategy.
β’ Provide clear, concise, executive-ready recommendations to senior leadership, aiding in business strategy formulation.
β’ Collaborate with senior stakeholders across Strategy & Business Development, Marketing, R&D, Medical Affairs, Customer Service, and Commercial Operations.
β’ Report directly to the Senior Director of Strategic Innovations.
β’ Bachelorβs degree is required; an advanced degree is preferred, with a strong emphasis on clinical, scientific, engineering, or healthcare training.
β’ Over 10 years of experience in the healthcare sector, including medtech, life sciences, pharmaceuticals, consulting, investing, or similar environments.
β’ More than 5 years in strategy, business development, corporate development, management consulting, venture investing, open innovation, or related positions.
β’ Strong comprehension of the diagnostics and broader healthcare ecosystem, including clinical workflows, providers, payers, pharmaceuticals, research institutions, and emerging technology firms.
β’ Proven success in leading enterprise-level, cross-functional strategic innovation initiatives through structured evaluation and decision-gate processes.
β’ Experience in assessing external opportunities through market and technical diligence, intellectual property reviews, asset valuation, and strategic fit analysis.
β’ Established ability to influence senior stakeholders, develop recommendations suitable for executives and the Board, negotiate effectively, and manage external partnerships with strong business acumen, analytical rigor, and executive presence.
β’ Willingness to collaborate across global time zones.
β’ Expected travel of up to 30%.
β’ Capability to work with controlled technology in compliance with US export control laws.
