Strategic Finance Manager / Senior Financial Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee and enhance Rain's primary financial model utilized for investor reporting, board presentations, internal target setting, budget management, and cash forecasting.

• Lead the organization's budget management in collaboration with department heads.

• Monitor performance, identify discrepancies, and bring potential risks and opportunities to the attention of leadership.

• Manage cash forecasting and runway analysis.

• Assist in structuring and overseeing debt facilities, ensuring compliance with covenants, managing borrowing base reporting, and facilitating lender communications.

• Collaborate directly with the COO on strategic initiatives, investor documentation, and operational decision-making processes.

• Address recurring inquiries from investors and board members while supporting fundraising efforts.

• Perform ad hoc financial analyses for new products, partnerships, and business models.

• Partner with the Accounting team during month-end close, handling accruals and departmental cost allocation.

• Convert complex financial data into actionable insights for stakeholders outside of finance.

• Automate financial planning workflows using tools such as Drivetrain.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3–5+ years of combined experience in investment banking, strategy consulting, M&A advisory, or corporate finance at a leading tech company.

• Experience in investment banking or transaction advisory is highly preferred.

• Background in strategic finance or FP&A within a high-growth startup is a significant advantage.

• Proficient in advanced Excel financial modeling techniques.

• Capability to create complex, multi-scenario financial models from the ground up.

• Strong understanding of accounting principles.

• Ability to read and analyze financial statements and comprehend accounting implications.

• Exceptional problem-solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills.

• High attention to detail with the ability to prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment.

• Skill in distilling intricate analyses into clear narratives for leadership, investors, and board members.
