Strategic Finance Lead – Founding

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop and manage the financial model, budgets, forecasts, and scenario analysis.

• Link financial performance to business drivers and articulate future strategies.

• Collaborate with the CEO and department heads on growth initiatives, investment choices, pricing strategies, unit economics, and operational efficiency.

• Create standardized financial reporting, key performance indicators (KPIs), and performance evaluations.

• Integrate financial and operational data to enhance transparency regarding performance, risks, and opportunities.

• Oversee accounting functions, financial closing processes, cash management, tax coordination, and compliance obligations.

• Supervise external bookkeeping, accounting, and tax service providers.

• Design and execute finance procedures, tools, reporting mechanisms, and controls.

• Determine which functions to develop in-house, which to outsource, and how to evolve the finance department.

• Decrease reliance on the founders and facilitate the company’s growth.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 6 years of experience in FP&A, strategic finance, or a related operational finance position.

• Proven track record in financial modeling and forecasting.

• Experience partnering with business leaders and leveraging financial analysis to guide strategic or operational choices.

• Exceptional financial modeling and analytical abilities.

• Capability to link financial outcomes to commercial and operational factors.

• Background in a fast-growing technology firm.

• A builder's mindset with a strong desire for comprehensive ownership.

• Knowledge of accounting and financial operations sufficient to oversee reporting, manage external partners, and fulfill financial commitments.

• Practical experience working directly with data, constructing models, and managing processes.

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to translate financial analysis for non-financial audiences.

• Comfort with uncertainty and a willingness to explore new finance areas.

• Must reside in GMT or EST time zones.
