Senior Financial Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Lead the annual budget and reforecast processes, which include the maintenance of templates, the budget master file, stakeholder engagements, Adaptive uploads, budget reviews, and ensuring submission readiness.

• Convert workforce and other budget modifications into comprehensible financial implications and assist in the development of budget reviews.

• Manage business case models to support leadership decision-making, ensuring alignment of headcount and key assumptions across various source files and planning tools.

• Oversee weekly headcount tracking and ensure accuracy across the Workday roster, Adaptive, the internal headcount master file, new hire reports, and requisition reports.

• Reconcile planning perspectives with operational rosters.

• Monitor updates related to new hires, terminations, and backfills in planning documentation, mapping changes to requisitions and highlighting forthcoming system updates.

• Assist with month-end closing activities, including reviewing preliminary results, tracking accruals, labor CAPEX, vendor/contractor entries, payroll, and invoice reclassifications, resolving discrepancies, and finalizing reports.

• Oversee EDI cost accrual trackers and offer accounting support for invoice distribution.

• Create monthly financial review presentations with commentary on variances and principal drivers.

• Take ownership of weekly labor CAPEX tracking and reporting against the budget; promote time-entry compliance and manager approvals.

• Monitor contractor/vendor expenditures, facilitate invoice reviews, ensure appropriate CAPEX/OPEX classification, and coordinate quarterly vendor CAPEX entries with Accounting and business leaders.

• Assist the Finance Manager with ad-hoc requests from leadership and business cases.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).

• Strong foundational knowledge in FP&A, encompassing budgeting/forecasting, variance analysis, and the creation of executive-ready summaries and narratives.

• Proficient in advanced Excel skills, including modeling, pivot tables, structured templates, and reconciliation processes.

• Capability to manage deadlines and engage stakeholders across multiple leaders and cost centers.

• Experience in supporting technology/product/engineering organizations and headcount-intensive operating models (preferred).

• Familiarity with internal labor capitalization, time-entry governance, and related controls (preferred).

• Exposure to Adaptive-based reporting procedures and SOP-driven monthly refresh workflows (preferred).

• Experience in supporting vendor CAPEX reporting/analytics and quarterly actuals processes (preferred).
