
Strategic Account Manager – Electrification, Transmission & Distribution

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.
• Act as the strategic leader for key Electrification accounts, managing the relationship, strategy, and outcomes.
• Maintain relationships at the executive level, from C-suite down, and conduct regular business reviews.
• Formulate a dynamic 3+ year account strategy that aligns with GE Vernova's goals and the long-term objectives, needs, and culture of customers.
• Showcase GE Vernova's complete range of Electrification products and services, which include HV systems and equipment, Protection and Control, STATCOM, Synchronous Condensers, Fixed and Variable Series Compensation, Battery Storage, Solar Inverters, and Energy Management software.
• Foster collaboration across different business lines to create complex, multi-business-line solutions.
• Work alongside Gas Power and Wind Power sales teams to enhance Electrification attachment rates to new generation initiatives.
• Collaborate with Enterprise Strategic Account Executive counterparts to boost market penetration and refine strategy throughout GE Vernova.
• Utilize technical expertise in HV equipment and electrical substation systems to distinguish solutions and develop counterstrategies.
• Create and implement relationship mapping to connect GE Vernova leadership with customer representatives.
• Identify and establish continuous customer engagement opportunities.
• Employ operational data, standardized processes, and metrics such as Net Promoter Score (NPS) to assess relationship health, account profitability, and strategic alignment.
• Provide quarterly reports on account growth and progress to the VP of Business Development for North America.
• 10 years of experience in direct sales, commercial management, account management, or a customer- or supplier-facing role in an Engineering, Procurement & Construction (EPC) setting, or end-user environment.
• Engineering background with extensive technical knowledge of High Voltage equipment and electrical substation systems.
• 10 years of experience in the transmission & distribution (T&D) sector.
• Demonstrated success in building and maintaining relationships with C-suite customers and managing complex, multi-product strategic accounts.
• Proximity to a GE Vernova Electrification customer center of competence, or willingness to relocate.
• Willingness and capability to travel up to 30% of the time.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Experience navigating large, matrixed organizations to align company strategy with customer strategy.
• Strong financial management abilities, including understanding utility economics and the competitive landscape.
• Advanced degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field is preferred.
• Proximity to a major airport (within 1 hour) is required.
• Preferred base location: Columbus/Akron OH.
