This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Act as the strategic lead for primary Electrification accounts, managing the relationship, planning, and outcomes.
• Take ownership of customer accounts from start to finish, fostering executive-level relationships, conducting regular business reviews, and creating ongoing 3+ year account strategies.
• Represent the complete range of GE Vernova's Electrification products and services, which includes HV systems and equipment, Protection and Control, power stability solutions, Battery Storage, Solar Inverters, and Energy Management software.
• Promote collaboration across business lines to develop intricate or multi-business-line solutions.
• Partner with Gas Power and Wind Power sales teams to enhance Electrification attachment rates for new generation projects.
• Collaborate with Enterprise Strategic Account Executive colleagues to boost penetration and refine strategy throughout GE Vernova.
• Utilize technical expertise in HV equipment and electrical substation systems to distinguish solutions and formulate counterstrategies.
• Create and implement relationship mapping that connects GE Vernova leadership with customer counterparts.
• Employ operational data, standard practices, and metrics such as Net Promoter Score (NPS) to assess relationship health, account profitability, and strategic alignment.
• Provide quarterly reports on account growth and progress to the VP of Business Development for North America.
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in direct sales, commercial management, account management, or a customer- or supplier-facing role within an Engineering, Procurement & Construction (EPC) environment, or end-user context.
• An engineering background with extensive technical knowledge of High Voltage equipment and electrical substation systems.
• At least 10 years of experience in the transmission & distribution (T&D) sector.
• Demonstrated success in building and nurturing C-suite customer relationships and managing complex, multi-product strategic accounts.
• Proximity to a GE Vernova Electrification customer center of excellence, or willingness to relocate.
• Ability and willingness to travel up to 30% of the time.
• A Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline — while a formal degree is valued, we prioritize your overall experience and professional achievements.
• Experience in navigating a large, matrixed organization to align company strategy with customer strategy.
• Strong financial management capabilities, including a grasp of utility economics and the competitive landscape.
• Proximity to a major airport (within 1 hour).
• Preferred base location: San Diego/Los Angeles CA.
