Stormwater Sampler, Sample Pick-up Courier

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Execute designated sample pick-up routes across San Diego County, which may include a few stops or up to approximately 20 client locations each day.

• Utilize a personal vehicle for necessary travel between different locations.

• Retrieve replenishment sampling kits and completed stormwater samples from designated client sites.

• Confirm sample labels, physical Chain of Custody documentation, packaging, and the separation of samples from various facilities.

• Provide replacement sampling kits to clients and address any missing documentation whenever feasible.

• Relay information regarding delays, wait times, scheduling challenges, route issues, and supply requirements to Frog Environmental.

• Deliver samples and associated documentation to Frog Environmental on the same day and secure receipt confirmation.

• Arrange for after-hours deliveries when necessary.

• Track weather forecasts and respond to authorized stormwater sampling assignments accordingly.

• Collect stormwater samples in compliance with permit requirements, company protocols, regulatory timelines, and established procedures.

• Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) and adhere to safety and clean-sampling protocols.

• Document sampling locations and discharge points through photographs and submit same-day records.

• Conduct field pH testing and complete Chain of Custody and Sample Event Observation forms.

• Label, ice, refrigerate, deliver, or ship samples as required.

• Direct client inquiries to the appropriate Frog Environmental personnel.

• Log work hours, mileage, and expenses per company protocols.

⛳️ Requirements

• Possession of a valid driver's license, a dependable personal vehicle, and adequate automobile insurance is mandatory.

• Must be willing and able to travel throughout Los Angeles, Orange, and Riverside Counties.

• Must demonstrate reliability, punctuality, and the ability to work independently while managing designated routes and sampling tasks.

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills are essential, particularly in accurately handling samples and documentation.

• Capability to adhere to sampling, safety, chain-of-custody, and other established protocols.

• Excellent professional communication skills are required.

• Proficiency in using a personal cell phone for work-related communication, documentation, and navigation is necessary.

• Willingness to complete required training is essential.

• A background check is mandated.

• Ability to safely handle and transport sample containers, coolers, sampling kits, and related materials is required.

• Must be able to wear the necessary personal protective equipment (PPE).

• Capability to work at client facilities, including outdoor tasks in rain and diverse weather conditions.

• Benefits eligibility is in accordance with applicable plan terms and eligibility criteria.

• Compensation of $50.00 per hour for approximately two hours of mandatory initial sampling training.

• A $200 sampling incentive is available for successfully sampling 1–2 assigned client facilities during a deployment.

• $50 for each additional client facility successfully sampled within the same deployment period.

• $5 for every eligible scheduled sample pick-up stop completed in accordance with program requirements.

• Mileage reimbursement aligned with the applicable California mileage reimbursement rate.

• Cell phone reimbursement in accordance with Company policy and relevant California law.

• Overtime compensation is provided in compliance with applicable California law.

• Guaranteed a minimum of two hours of pay per deployment, or any higher amount as required by applicable California law.
