Stop Loss Claim Auditor Intern

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Support the review and auditing of designated stop loss claim submissions.

• Verify the completeness and accuracy of claim documentation and supporting records.

• Examine data pertaining to medical and pharmaceutical claims.

• Aid in the identification of claim discrepancies, overpayments, and audit observations.

• Employ Excel and other Microsoft Office tools to structure, analyze, and present data.

• Assist auditors in the creation of client reports and audit summaries.

• Engage in initiatives aimed at process improvement and special projects.

• Uphold the confidentiality of protected health information (PHI) and sensitive client data.

• Collaborate with team members regarding audit observations and project updates.

⛳️ Requirements

• Currently enrolled as a sophomore in college, pursuing a degree in Healthcare or a related Science field.

• Possess strong analytical and critical thinking abilities.

• Demonstrate high attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills.

• Exhibit proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Capability to work independently and handle multiple tasks in a remote setting.

• Coursework or internship experience related to healthcare, insurance, auditing, or claims administration (preferred).

• Familiarity with concepts of healthcare claims processing or medical billing (preferred).

• Experience utilizing Excel features such as formulas, sorting, filtering, and pivot tables (preferred).

• Knowledge of healthcare reimbursement methodologies, including Medicare, DRG, or RBRVS (preferred).

• Experience with Microsoft Access or other database systems (preferred).
