DRG-V Auditor I

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Conduct audits on inpatient cases for the purpose of DRG validation and/or enhancing documentation.

• Examine accounts using proprietary software as well as client EMR systems to ensure account validation.

• Assess inpatient medical records to confirm the accuracy of DRG assignments.

• Offer comprehensive rationale and supporting evidence for recommendations and findings made during audits.

• Reference industry-standard materials, including ICD-10 Official Guidelines for Coding and Reporting, AHIMA Standards of Ethical Coding, AHIMA Practice Briefs related to compliant querying, and AHA Coding Clinics.

⛳️ Requirements

• A current AHIMA credential is required: RHIA, RHIT, and/or CCS.

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in ICD-10 coding and DRG reimbursement.

• Recent experience in acute inpatient auditing.

• Familiarity with various EMR systems including Epic, Cerner, and Meditech.
