Stop Loss Claim Auditor Intern

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Review and assess specific stop-loss claim submissions.

• Confirm the completeness and accuracy of claim documentation and supporting records.

• Analyze data related to medical and pharmaceutical claims.

• Detect discrepancies in claims, overpayments, and audit issues.

• Utilize Excel and other Microsoft Office tools to organize, analyze, and present data.

• Assist auditors in compiling client reports and audit summaries.

• Engage in process enhancement initiatives and special projects.

• Ensure the confidentiality of protected health information (PHI) and sensitive client details.

• Collaborate with team members regarding audit outcomes and project progress.

⛳️ Requirements

• Currently a sophomore in college pursuing a degree in Healthcare or a science-related discipline.

• Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities.

• High attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word, and Outlook.

• Excellent written and verbal communication capabilities.

• Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks in a remote setting.

• Relevant coursework or internship experience in healthcare, insurance, auditing, or claims administration.

• Familiarity with concepts related to healthcare claims processing or medical billing.

• Experience using Excel features such as formulas, sorting, filtering, and pivot tables.

• Exposure to healthcare reimbursement methodologies, including Medicare, DRG, or RBRVS.

• Experience with Microsoft Access or other database systems.
