Staff Software Engineer, Patient Experience

πŸ“‹ Description

β€’ Guide the technical strategy for mobile development and applications aimed at patients.

β€’ Quickly prototype and launch features in patient mobile and web applications in collaboration with design and product teams.

β€’ Utilize AI tools to expedite processes and test concepts that enhance engagement and retention.

β€’ Assist in shaping product strategy to support and retain patients during their crucial first month.

β€’ Communicate directly with patients and collaborate with product, design, and clinical teams to transform needs into actionable features.

β€’ Mentor and develop junior engineers.

β€’ Establish technical standards, architectural patterns, and development practices for patient-focused products.

β€’ Act as the technical lead for patient interactions from enrollment through their care journey.


⛳️ Requirements

β€’ Extensive experience in building and delivering consumer or patient-facing products, whether on mobile, web, or both.

β€’ Proven experience as a technical lead on a team, guiding architectural direction and mentoring fellow engineers.

β€’ Strong, but flexible, opinions on creating exceptional user experiences.

β€’ Comfortable navigating the full technology stack and thriving in a fast-paced startup environment.

β€’ Keeping up-to-date with trends in LLM coding agents.

β€’ Passionate about close collaboration with product and design teams.

β€’ Experience with React Native or other cross-platform mobile frameworks is particularly valued.

β€’ Background in developing products within healthcare, wellness, or other high-trust consumer sectors is highly regarded.

β€’ Familiarity with engagement, retention, or onboarding processes and an understanding of what encourages user loyalty is especially valued.

β€’ Previous experience with AI/ML or creating agent-based systems is a significant plus.

β€’ Open to candidates residing in the continental United States.
