Staff Software Engineer, Marketplace Acquisition

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Direct the technical vision of Zocdoc’s acquisition platform, improving system reliability and user interaction.

• Facilitate technical conversations and ensure that technical decisions are scalable and reliable.

• Develop scalable APIs and microservices to enable seamless data access and support patient decision-making.

• Work in collaboration with Design to refine user experiences and enhance the overall customer journey.

• Partner with Product on vision, strategy, and implementation to create business value.

• Mentor engineers and promote team excellence through adherence to coding standards, automation, and ongoing improvement.

• Spearhead AI-driven innovation projects utilizing emerging data sources and architectures.

• Guide the advancement of SEO infrastructure that supports thousands of patient-facing pages.

• Create APIs and services that ensure patient-facing data is both fast and reliable at scale.

• Collaborate with Design, Product, and Marketing on strategic initiatives and measurable outcomes.

• Proven experience in owning and evolving complex, user-centric platforms from start to finish.

• Demonstrated experience in designing high-performance systems with a strong emphasis on SEO and page speed.

• Skilled in architecting comprehensive solutions that include backend APIs, AWS-based infrastructure, and React systems.

• Experience in integrating third-party data sources and content management systems like Contentful.

• Familiarity with leveraging large language model (LLM) systems.

• Expertise in best practices for testing, CI/CD, observability, and optimization of system performance.

• Background in mentoring and collaborating with distributed teams.

• Strong sense of ownership over a technical domain.

• Commitment to code quality, testing, and long-term maintainability.
