Staff Software Engineer, Fullstack / Frontend Focus – Governance

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Europe.

📋 Description

• Take complete ownership of the front-end architecture for the governance product from start to finish.

• Evaluate existing work, decide what aspects to retain or reconsider, and create the resulting solution.

• Design and develop interfaces to review and respond to policy violations, compliance risks, and governance discoveries.

• Make organizational structures and knowledge-graph relationships understandable and navigable.

• Utilize product and UX judgment in complex, high-stakes governance and compliance workflows.

• Build and sustain the front end, focusing primarily on TypeScript.

• Contribute to backend efforts concerning data structures, APIs, knowledge graphs, and agent systems; backend technologies include Go and Python.

• Suggest, defend, and execute technical strategies with complete ownership.

• Incorporate AI coding tools as a fundamental aspect of the development process.

• Collaborate with AI and backend engineers to transform agent-driven insights into functional product interfaces.

• Solid front-end fundamentals and the capacity to make architectural choices.

• Product and UX judgment for intricate, information-rich workflows.

• Proven ability to convert complex or unclear data into straightforward, usable interfaces.

• Familiarity with backend fundamentals, including databases, data structures, APIs, and system design.

• Experience with various technology stacks; technology-agnostic.

• A history of initiating projects from scratch and managing them through to completion.

• Strong software engineering foundations and the ability to work independently within a fast-paced, remote-first environment.

• Significant fluency with AI coding tools such as Claude Code.

• Preferred: background in governance, risk, compliance, security, regulated, or data-intensive fields.

• Preferred: experience in visualizing graphs, networks, or relationships.

• Preferred: startup experience in building projects from the ground up.

• Preferred: experience in backend development; knowledge of Go and Python is beneficial.

• Preferred: comfort in a fully remote setting across time zones, with some overlap with EU hours.
