This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Design, construct, and manage enterprise-scale data platforms and data products within the Enterprise Data Warehouse.
• Create foundational data domains, semantic layers, and support downstream analytics consumers.
• Establish architectural standards and promote platform modernization efforts.
• Develop, test, deploy, and maintain software solutions.
• Create functional and destructive test suites to facilitate rapid production deployments.
• Collaborate with the Product Team to ensure user stories are clear, developer-ready, and testable.
• Engage with team members within agile processes.
• Address inquiries from product and engineering teams.
• Provide mentorship to junior engineers on contemporary software development frameworks and lead technical discussions.
• Identify team deficiencies and propose modifications to enhance productivity.
• Report primarily to a Software Engineering Manager or Senior Manager.
• No travel is required.
• Must be at least eighteen years old.
• Must have legal authorization to work in the United States.
• Over 5 years of experience in backend data engineering or analytics platform engineering.
• Substantial hands-on experience with cloud data warehouses, with a strong preference for BigQuery.
• Advanced SQL skills and solid proficiency in Python.
• Demonstrated experience in designing enterprise-grade data models, including curated/ADS datasets.
• Experience in building and maintaining semantic layers (AtScale preferred, but not mandatory).
• Familiarity with universal or shared semantic modeling across various domains or products.
• Experience with CI/CD and orchestration frameworks, including Jenkins and Airflow.
• Strong grasp of performance tuning and cost optimization strategies in extensive data environments.
• Experience in designing systems for high availability, resilience, and scalability.
• Ability to collaborate across teams and influence architectural decisions without direct authority.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant field of study.
