Staff Software Engineer – Continuous Integration

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Take charge of designing, scaling, and ensuring the reliability of build pipelines across various services and platforms.

• Enhance build times, test coverage, reporting, and developer feedback cycles.

• Establish monitoring, alerting, and incident response procedures for CI systems.

• Collaborate closely with engineering teams to facilitate seamless integrations and deployment workflows.

• Recognize developer challenges and spearhead productivity initiatives through tooling, automation, and best practices.

• Advocate for CI/CD practices throughout the organization.

• Contribute to and help shape the vision for continuous integration and developer productivity infrastructure.

• Mentor and lead fellow CI engineers.

• Collaborate with engineering leadership to align CI systems with product and platform objectives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in driving and leading engineering initiatives in CI, build systems, or developer productivity areas.

• Strong expertise in contemporary build systems, such as GitHub, Buildkite, and Artifactory.

• Knowledge of AWS, Kubernetes, and infrastructure-as-code principles.

• Programming skills in Python, Kotlin, Java, or similar languages.

• Capability to influence technical decision-making.

• Expertise in managing build systems and frameworks for extensive monorepos.

• Equivalent practical experience or a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.

• Active participation in open-source projects or large-scale software development at a leading technology company is advantageous.

• Interest in AI tools and emerging technologies, along with a willingness to learn and utilize them.
