This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee the design, architecture, and execution of intricate product initiatives on both web and mobile platforms.
• Develop and enhance React and React Native applications utilized by veterinary professionals and industry collaborators.
• Establish engineering standards, promote code quality, and guarantee robust test coverage throughout the codebase.
• Create scalable components, shared libraries, and architectural patterns that bolster productivity across the team.
• Guide engineers, offer technical support, and shape engineering strategies across various teams.
• Collaborate with the CTO, engineering leadership, and cross-functional teams to define and implement impactful solutions.
• Design features and data models with a focus on accuracy, security, and performance.
• Enhance database queries and API interactions.
• Diagnose complex issues across the entire stack.
• Spearhead initiatives to boost system performance and reliability.
• Operate within a completely remote team setting.
• A minimum of 8 years of professional software engineering experience, with accountability for complex, production-grade systems.
• A Bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in Computer Science or a related technical discipline.
• Profound expertise in at least one contemporary programming language.
• Strong familiarity with modern web frameworks.
• High proficiency in JavaScript and React, including the design of large-scale front-end applications.
• Documented experience in designing scalable systems, APIs, and data models.
• Solid background in working with relational databases and optimizing queries.
• Regularly practice writing well-tested, maintainable, and reliable code.
• Proven track record of mentoring engineers and leading technical decision-making processes.
• Exceptional communication skills, with the capability to articulate complex ideas clearly.
• Collaborative, adaptable, and effective in dynamic or fast-paced environments.
