Staff Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Lead initiatives to develop high-quality, scalable software systems

• Engage in the complete design and application lifecycle, including coding and debugging

• Oversee code and design reviews

• Write maintainable code for functional web applications

• Execute advanced troubleshooting and debugging tasks

• Conduct UI testing to enhance performance

• Collaborate with developers, designers, and system administrators to define features

• Manage technologies to upgrade legacy applications

• Gather and address technical and design specifications

• Maintain environment configurations and monitor system performance

• Create reusable code and libraries

• Provide training and support to internal teams

• Improve development tools, test coverage, and code architecture

• Mentor and offer technical assistance to junior engineers

• Respond to on-call incidents and resolve critical service disruptions

• Communicate proactively with clients and vendors

• Establish and uphold development standards

• Advocate for an API-first approach in software projects

• Own multiple product features from inception to completion and contribute to strategic product decisions


⛳️ Requirements

• At least 8 years of relevant experience in software development or a related field, or 6 years with an advanced degree

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field, or equivalent work experience

• Strong programming proficiency in an object-oriented language such as Java or C#

• Demonstrated experience as a full stack developer

• Extensive experience with JavaScript frameworks like React and Angular, HTML, and CSS

• Understanding of the complete software development lifecycle

• Experience in developing and deploying applications for Cloud Native Infrastructure

• Familiarity with working in an agile framework

• Excellent analytical and time management capabilities

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to collaborate across engineering and product teams

• Experience in monitoring and supporting production systems

• Advanced skills in optimizing system performance

• Advanced knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases and caching mechanisms

• In-depth understanding and practical application of REST API best practices

• Advanced experience in test development, including unit, UI automation, and integration tests

• Experience in building and deploying applications using Kubernetes

• Familiarity with OpenTelemetry

• Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation

• Ability to lift 5–10 pounds without assistance

• Must be eligible for full-time employment in the US

• Master's degree in engineering, technology, or a related field (preferred)

• Experience with SaaS offerings in technology and financial sectors (preferred)

• Experience with Amazon Web Services utilizing Kubernetes (preferred)

• Experience with cross-platform mobile development frameworks like Flutter (preferred)
