Staff Software Engineer – AI EdTech

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop and enhance the core product offerings, which include AI-driven literacy tools.

• Transition complex, cross-functional features from the prototype stage to full production.

• Make informed architectural and security choices.

• Enhance engineering systems and methodologies.

• Sustain a high-quality codebase that is easy to understand and manage at scale.

• Engage in proactive communication with the small remote team to ensure alignment and coherence.

• Deliver features from start to finish while collaborating closely with the CTO.

• Independently discern priorities and advance projects from conception to production.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of experience in software engineering.

• Senior-level expertise in software engineering with robust full-stack capabilities.

• Experience in building from the ground up, including shipping features end-to-end and managing projects from concept to production.

• Proven track record of owning significant portions of a codebase and managing large-scale projects without a comprehensive roadmap.

• Strong proficiency in TypeScript, React, Next.js, and PostgreSQL.

• High degree of agency and the ability to achieve significant progress with minimal supervision.

• Exceptional attention to detail.

• A hands-on engineering approach with a desire to remain an individual contributor.

• A genuine passion for mission-driven work and enhancing literacy outcomes.
