This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.
• Provide practical AI solutions on the current engineering and operations framework, including CI/CD, code quality, and observability, while adhering to guardrails for HIPAA/GxP and FedRAMP-boundary work.
• Develop and manage an internal AI platform aimed at enhancing developer workflows, encompassing code assistance, pull-request review support, test generation, documentation, and automation.
• Incorporate AI functionalities into CI/CD processes, code quality systems, and repositories through templates, examples, and self-service models.
• Establish AI quality gates, which consist of policy checks, confidence thresholds, regression tests, and secure-by-default configurations.
• Create logging, auditability, access controls, and data-handling protocols for HIPAA/GxP compliance.
• Uphold a FedRAMP-boundary-safe strategy for SBP Federal initiatives, ensuring separation where necessary and assessing compliant alternatives.
• Collaborate with engineering leads and the security/compliance teams to define and implement internal responsible-AI standards.
• Develop AI-enhanced operations using observability signals, which include anomaly detection, incident triage support, runbook-driven automation, and self-healing patterns.
• Assess adoption rates, cycle times, and incident metrics; iterate and communicate progress to engineering leadership.
• Over 5 years of experience in software engineering, platform engineering, DevEx, or SRE/operations engineering, with recent practical exposure to applying LLMs/AI in real workflows.
• Proven experience in building or operationalizing AI-assisted developer tools, including code review assistance, test generation, documentation, or workflow automation.
• Demonstrated ability to create and manage automated/semi-automated agent workflows that perform scoped engineering tasks.
• Experience in developing AI-assisted operations and observability capabilities, such as anomaly detection, intelligent alerting, triage automation, or runbook automation, utilizing existing monitoring frameworks.
• Proficient coding skills in Python, along with one of Java or TypeScript.
• Comfortable working in regulated environments and designing compliance guardrails for HIPAA, GxP, FedRAMP, or similar requirements, including boundary/tenant separation and auditability.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; capable of aligning engineers, security/compliance teams, and leadership.
• Preferred: Experience with FedRAMP boundaries and assessing FedRAMP-authorized tooling alternatives.
• Preferred: Familiarity with CI/CD and developer toolchains such as GitHub, Jenkins, GitLab CI, SonarQube, or CodeBuild.
• Preferred: Previous experience in platform/DevEx roles developing internal products for engineering customers.
• Preferred: Background in regulated software sectors such as clinical, federal, or financial domains.
• Preferred: Knowledge of AWS-native operations tools like CloudWatch and DevOps Guru, along with workflow/orchestration tools.
