Staff Software Development Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +42 more states.

📋 Description

• Design and develop efficient, scalable solutions that align with business requirements and quality benchmarks.

• Engage in solution design and architectural discussions alongside architects and senior engineers.

• Provide insights on technical feasibility, performance enhancement, and scalability considerations.

• Participate in code reviews to ensure compliance with coding standards, best practices, and quality guidelines.

• Collaborate with team members, offer technical insights, and assist in decision-making processes.

• Advocate for the adoption of best practices, new technologies, and tools.

• Involve in code reviews, tech discussions, workshops, and other knowledge-sharing initiatives.

• Implement intricate features and improve existing functionalities with development teams.

• Mentor and guide junior developers.

• Develop proofs of concept to address customer needs and challenges.

• Collaborate with business and IT leaders to create digital assets.

• Offer expert assistance for complex issues and conduct root-cause analysis.

• Identify gaps within the digital ecosystem and devise solutions to enhance performance.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience in enterprise solution delivery within a large-scale distributed software design setting.

• More than 5 years of Java development experience.

• At least 5 years of hands-on experience with enterprise cloud initiatives and cloud computing technologies.

• Over 5 years of experience in designing and developing modern microservices and cost-efficient APIs.

• At least 3 years of experience with CI/CD pipeline automation.

• A minimum of 3 years working in an Agile-based development environment.

• Over 2 years of experience with Agentic AI / Generative AI.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (high school diploma plus 4 years of relevant experience).

• Experience in the health and wellness domain is preferred.

• Practical full-stack development experience with AngularJS, JavaScript, Oracle, and contemporary databases like NoSQL is preferred.

• Strong grasp of Generative AI concepts and techniques, such as NLP, text generation and summarization, conversational AI, and chatbots is preferred.

• Hands-on experience in developing user-facing features and/or applications is preferred.

• Ability to create and implement roadmaps that consider progress, innovation, and dependable scaling is preferred.

• Capacity to learn and work with emerging Cloud/IT technologies, methodologies, and solutions is preferred.

• Competence in collaborating across organizational boundaries and building relationships is preferred.
