Staff Project Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Tennessee.

📋 Description

• Oversee the creation of technical materials for proprietary embedded system products.

• Establish and execute technologies for data centers and servers.

• Develop proof of concepts and deliver technical feature presentations.

• Distinguish Supermicro products through online initiatives and participation in industry events.

• Act as the go-to expert on application benchmarks related to networking, databases, and virtualization.

• Leverage expertise in CPUs, DRAM, flash storage, and motherboards to design and integrate embedded system solutions.

• Conduct benchmark testing and build proof of concepts using data center technologies alongside Supermicro embedded products.

• Collaborate with product managers and systems engineers to create technical marketing presentations and white papers.

• Investigate new technologies and products to recommend innovative proof of concepts.

• Partner with Sales, FAE, and customers to deliver networking solutions and share technical expertise.

⛳️ Requirements

• In-depth understanding of server architecture, encompassing PCIe, SATA, and SAS protocols.

• Familiarity with operating system principles.

• Knowledge of distributed computing is advantageous.

• Experience in configuring Windows Server, Ubuntu, and Red Hat Enterprise Linux.

• Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Linux Shell, C/C++, and JavaScript is highly desirable.

• Strong grasp of server hardware and architectures, including PCI Express and out-of-band management.

• Experience in technical writing.

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering is preferred but not mandatory.

• At least 5 years of systems engineering experience in embedded hardware products is preferred but not mandatory.

• Capability to work remotely in the Memphis, Tennessee area.

• Willingness to attend customer sites as required.
