This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take ownership of the complete financial journey from booking to settlement across both brands, including web and mobile platforms.
• Develop and implement strategies for checkout processes, payment systems, payouts, fees, insurance, credits, and dispute resolutions.
• Establish insurance positioning based on regional factors, coverage verification, pricing strategies, and international operations.
• Create flexible fee structures and provide clear breakdowns of guest/operator fees.
• Manage policies and workflows related to trip modifications, credits, refunds, and disputes.
• Spearhead the transition to a unified review system across both brands.
• Drive key performance outcomes such as checkout conversion rates, payment success, payout accuracy and timing, dispute rates, and on-platform transaction share.
• Collaborate with finance, operations, support, insurance partners, and product teams to achieve shared objectives.
• Guide PMs, assist in hiring processes, and enhance product development methodologies.
• Engage in weekly discovery sessions with guests and operators, assess support queues, and take part in dispute evaluations.
• Identify success metrics, analyze post-release outcomes, and discontinue ineffective initiatives.
• Execute product launches with controlled rollouts, reversible changes, and reliable reconciliations.
• Document product decisions through RFCs and architecture decision records.
• Participate in financial assessments, insurance partner discussions, and investigations into operator issues.
• Proven experience in strategizing for checkout, payments, or payouts in a two-sided marketplace with significant company-wide impact.
• Demonstrated ability to create product strategies instead of merely executing them.
• Track record of achieving ambitious, cross-functional OKRs.
• Experience in resolving high-stakes decisions that involve legal, finance, partners, or leadership.
• Ability to implement transparent pricing or fee structures without compromising revenue.
• Experience in treating cancellation, refund, credit, or dispute policies as a product to be built, tested, and refined.
• Background in enhancing PM capabilities through mentorship, hiring, or improving team processes.
• Knowledge of insurance products, embedded insurance, or coverage verification is advantageous.
• Practical experience with payment processors, marketplace payouts, or split payment systems is beneficial.
• Experience in developing configurable fee or pricing systems is a plus.
• Familiarity with chargeback and dispute operations is an asset.
• Experience in migrating active transactions between platforms without affecting bookings is favorable.
• Background in review and reputation systems is helpful.
• Experience in large-scale travel, rentals, or local-services marketplaces is advantageous.
• Comfort in analyzing your own data is beneficial.
• Ability to work remotely with significant overlap with US Eastern time zone is essential.
