Staff Pharmacist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Interpret prescriptions from physicians and prescribers.

• Reach out to physicians, prescribers, and patients to confirm prescription details and facilitate order processing.

• Advise patients on medication usage and potential drug interactions.

• Monitor order status and address any outstanding issues.

• Handle customer inquiries regarding lost orders or dispensing mistakes.

• Uphold daily production, quality, and service standards.

• Work with physicians to switch prescriptions to generic or preferred alternatives when feasible.

• Provide oversight and quality control for pharmacy technicians.

• Confirm controlled substances and prescription data entered into the system.

• Support other pharmacists and undertake additional responsibilities as assigned by management.

• Mentor less experienced pharmacists.

• Adhere to assigned weekday, evening, and Saturday rotation schedules.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy is required.

• A PharmD is preferred.

• Must possess a current active resident pharmacist license in good standing.

• Strong advanced problem-solving abilities.

• Capability to work collaboratively with other departments to resolve issues.

• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

• Proficient in reading and interpreting prescriptions.

• High focus on customer service, quality, and accuracy.

• Ability to manage timelines and meet stringent client deadlines.

• Adaptability in a dynamic environment.

• Willingness to work a flexible schedule during peak volume periods.

• Must live and be licensed in Arizona, Indiana, Florida, or Ohio.

• Commitment to an 8–10 week training program and future schedules.

• A home internet connection via cable broadband or fiber optic service with a minimum of 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload speed.
