This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +4 more states.
• Interpret prescriptions from physicians or prescribers.
• Reach out to doctors, prescribers, and/or patients to confirm prescription details and facilitate order processing.
• Ensure adherence to regulatory guidelines.
• Monitor order status and address any medication-related concerns, including possible drug interactions.
• Provide supervision and quality assurance to pharmacy technicians.
• Verify and validate the legitimacy of controlled substances.
• Confirm prescription information entered by data entry or order entry personnel.
• Communicate with physicians for new and/or transfer authorizations.
• Collaborate with physicians to switch prescriptions to generic or preferred medications whenever feasible.
• Provide backup support to other pharmacists as necessary.
• Mentor less experienced pharmacists.
• Execute additional responsibilities as assigned by management.
• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy is mandatory.
• PharmD is preferred.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience as a licensed pharmacist is required.
• Current resident pharmacist license in good standing is essential.
• Advanced problem-solving abilities are necessary.
• Capacity to collaborate with other departments to resolve issues effectively.
• Strong oral and written communication skills are required.
• Ability to read and interpret prescriptions accurately.
• A keen focus on customer service, quality, and precision is vital.
• Competence in managing timelines and meeting tight deadlines is essential.
• Adaptability in a dynamic environment is required.
• Flexibility to work a varied schedule during peak times is necessary.
• Must reside in and be licensed in Arizona, Florida, Indiana, Ohio, Pennsylvania, or Tennessee.
• Home internet must be provided through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.
• Availability for a Monday-Friday 9AM-6PM EST schedule during an approximate 10-week training period.
• Availability for a consistent Monday-Friday 11AM-8PM EST schedule following training.
