This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +3 more states.
• Interpret prescriptions provided by physicians or prescribers.
• Reach out to doctors, prescribers, and patients to confirm prescription details and accelerate order processing.
• Ensure adherence to regulatory standards.
• Monitor order status and address any outstanding issues.
• Consult with patients regarding their medication usage and possible drug interactions.
• Manage customer inquiries related to lost orders or dispensing errors.
• Maintain daily levels of production, quality, and service.
• Adjust work priorities and activities to align with business requirements.
• Provide supervision and quality assurance to pharmacy technicians.
• Verify and authenticate the legitimacy of controlled substances.
• Confirm prescription information entered by data entry or order entry personnel.
• Communicate with physicians for new or transfer authorizations.
• Collaborate with physicians to switch prescriptions to generic or preferred medications when feasible.
• Serve as a backup for other pharmacists as required.
• Carry out additional responsibilities assigned by management.
• Mentor and train less experienced pharmacists.
• Must possess a current resident pharmacist license in good standing.
• Strong problem-solving abilities.
• Capability to collaborate effectively with other departments to address issues.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting prescriptions.
• A solid commitment to customer service, quality, and precision.
• Ability to manage timelines and adhere to tight deadlines.
• Adaptability to a dynamic working environment.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule during peak periods.
• Must reside in Arizona, Florida, Ohio, or Pennsylvania.
• Open to assigned shift schedules as required by business needs.
• During the initial 2–3 months of training, availability is required Monday to Friday, 9:00 am–6:00 pm Eastern Time.
• Post-training availability for Monday–Friday from 11:00 am–8:00 pm EST or 9:00 am–6:00 pm EST in Florida, Ohio, and Pennsylvania, or 1:00 pm–10:00 pm EST in Arizona.
• Reliable home internet service through a cable broadband or fiber optic provider with a minimum of 10Mbps download and 5Mbps upload speed is necessary for remote work.
