Staff Machine Learning Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Evaluate and define the functional and architectural needs of the Machine Learning platform, ensuring it is both scalable and robust.

• Create and implement ML models in large-scale production settings, emphasizing superior system design.

• Acquire mastery in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles and frameworks to automate and sustain the ML environment.

• Collaborate intensively with Data Science teams to seamlessly and automatically integrate new models into the platform.

• Ensure adherence to technical rigor and regulatory standards necessary for model development in a highly regulated sector (financial services).

• Construct a Machine Learning platform from scratch.

• Design infrastructure and architecture that grants data scientists complete end-to-end autonomy.

• Contribute to high-impact initiatives, including fraud prevention and innovative billing models.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience in Software Engineering, concentrating on the development and architecture of complex systems.

• Advanced skills in Python.

• Practical experience in deploying Machine Learning models to production at scale (ML Lifecycle / MLOps).

• Solid knowledge and expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) frameworks, such as Terraform.

• Preferred: Previous experience in providing technical guidance to ML engineers.

• Preferred: Familiarity with and hands-on experience with Feature Stores.

• Preferred: Professional experience in the financial services industry (fintechs or banks), with a focus on compliance and governance.
