Staff Machine Learning Engineer, App Ads Modeling

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Create and train sophisticated machine learning models, including deep neural networks (DNNs) and transformers, to enhance Reddit's Ads Ranking.

• Design and refine features such as embeddings, contextual signals, and cross-session behaviors.

• Collaborate with product, infrastructure, and data teams on the comprehensive deployment and performance evaluation of models.

• Provide mentorship to fellow machine learning engineers and promote best practices in modeling throughout the organization.

• Define the long-term vision for modeling in areas such as conversion, app ads, shopping, branding, or related fields.

• Become part of Reddit’s Ads Ranking Organization and the App Ads Modeling team.

• Report directly to the Ranking Organization.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience in the industry, with several years dedicated to applied machine learning roles.

• Extensive experience with deep learning architectures and machine learning frameworks, including TensorFlow and PyTorch.

• Strong foundation in recommendation systems, ad ranking, or related fields.

• Experience handling large-scale datasets and intricate feature pipelines.

• Excellent problem-solving abilities and experimentation skills.

• Proven experience with cutting-edge models for ads or recommendation systems, such as Transformers or recommendation systems.

• Familiarity with recommendation systems or ad funnels.

• A history of delivering impactful models in production environments.

• Comfortable working alongside infrastructure and data teams on feature serving and training pipelines.

• Preferred experience in conversion modeling, app ads, or performance/brand advertising.

• Experience in advertising marketplaces at comparable companies is preferred.

• Publications, patents, or contributions to the field of applied machine learning or ranking systems are preferred.
