AI/ML Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Croatia.

📋 Description

• Design and enhance real-world computer vision systems, concentrating on aerial image recognition.

• Create solutions that encompass object detection, image segmentation, classification, and pattern recognition.

• Train, fine-tune, assess, and deploy computer vision and machine learning models.

• Experiment with contemporary vision models, foundational models, and multimodal AI technologies.

• Investigate novel AI methodologies and assess their potential benefits for the product.

• Quickly develop prototypes and validate technical concepts.

• Enhance model accuracy, dependability, performance, and inference efficiency.

• Work with visual data to create effective data preparation, training, and evaluation pipelines.

• Investigate the application of LLMs, embeddings, vision-language models, and other cutting-edge AI technologies.

• Utilize AI coding tools and agents to expedite development, research, debugging, and prototyping.

• Identify opportunities for AI to enhance the overall product and user experience.

• Take ownership of technical challenges from initial research through to implementation and deployment.

• Collaborate directly with the client’s team on a comprehensive platform for roofing professionals.

⛳️ Requirements

• 2–3 years of practical experience in AI/ML, computer vision, or a closely related domain.

• Proficient in Python programming.

• Practical experience in developing and enhancing real-world computer vision systems.

• Strong grasp of machine learning principles.

• Hands-on experience with PyTorch or an equivalent modern machine learning framework.

• Experience in object detection, image segmentation, classification, and pattern recognition.

• Experience in training, fine-tuning, evaluating, and deploying ML models.

• Familiarity with contemporary computer vision models and foundational models.

• Experience utilizing AI coding tools or agents for development, research, debugging, and rapid prototyping.

• Familiarity with LLMs, multimodal AI, embeddings, or vision-language models.

• Strong problem-solving capabilities and capacity to tackle open-ended technical challenges.

• Ability to swiftly transition from an idea or hypothesis to a functional prototype.

• Experience with aerial, satellite, drone, or geospatial imagery is a significant advantage.

• Experience with LiDAR, point clouds, photogrammetry, depth estimation, or 3D reconstruction is a significant advantage.

• Previous experience in construction, property technology, mapping, robotics, or a similar industry is a significant advantage.

• Experience deploying ML solutions in cloud settings is a significant advantage.

• Knowledge of GPU computing, inference optimization, or model performance optimization is a significant advantage.

• Experience with OpenCV, C/C++, or MATLAB is a significant advantage.
