This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Provide solutions aimed at enhancing healthcare outcomes, minimizing healthcare process expenses, and/or identifying issues related to payment integrity.
• Evaluate the potential benefits and risks associated with business challenges that can be addressed through machine learning and artificial intelligence.
• Create exploratory data analysis methodologies to test hypotheses for AI/ML applications.
• Document strategies, thought processes, and results using standard collaborative methods.
• Prepare final trained models and establish validation test sets for quality assurance.
• Implement models in production, collaborating with operations and supporting performance oversight.
• Work alongside other data science teams and assist with peer projects.
• Engage in knowledge-sharing sessions.
• Participate in design meetings to enhance the Cotiviti machine learning platform.
• Deliver comprehensive value-based solutions, incorporating data pipelines, model development, and end-user applications.
• Fulfill annual performance review and goal-setting responsibilities, along with assigned special projects.
• Advanced degree in a quantitative field such as Computer Science/Engineering, Statistics, or Operations Research, with a focus on Advanced Statistics, Machine Learning, and AI.
• Proficient in natural language processing techniques including transformers, fine-tuning large language models (LLMs), and measuring/benchmarking and deploying LLMs.
• Familiarity with HuggingFace, Langchain, Llama/Mistral, OpenAI, and vector databases.
• Over 7 years of practical experience in data science/AI.
• Skilled in pandas, scikit-learn, keras, nltk, TensorFlow/PyTorch, and GPU technologies.
• Experience in developing production-grade machine learning solutions on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Knowledge of Apache Spark™ and large-scale distributed datasets.
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences is an asset.
• Capacity to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
• Competency in managing confidential information appropriately.

• Capability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines.
• Experience working within a matrixed organization.
• Demonstrated proficiency in required skills and competencies.
