This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Lead the design and development of cutting-edge agentic AI systems.
• Create and implement sophisticated multi-step reasoning agents, which encompass tool usage, planning, reflection, and self-improvement loops.
• Develop frameworks for effective multi-agent coordination and task decomposition.
• Enhance the reliability, latency, and cost-efficiency of agent execution.
• Architect subsystems for both short-term and long-term memory, including episodic, semantic, retrieval-based, and hybrid systems.
• Construct mechanisms for context compression, retrieval, and grounding.
• Investigate continual learning and state persistence.
• Define and implement evaluation frameworks for assessing agent performance, including task success, reasoning quality, and robustness.
• Create automated evaluation pipelines utilizing synthetic data, adversarial testing, and regression testing.
• Establish metrics and benchmarks to ensure agent reliability in production environments.
• Translate existing community research concepts into production-ready systems.
• Conduct experiments, analyze outcomes, and iterate rapidly.
• Collaborate closely with product and engineering teams to transform research into scalable real-world applications.
• Contribute to internal knowledge sharing and guide technical direction.
• Influence the core intelligence layer of Dropzone AI, shaping how agents reason, remember, and enhance their capabilities over time.
• Over 5 years of experience in software engineering, including at least 1 year of applying GenAI in a production setting.
• Demonstrated experience in building or researching agent frameworks and tool-using LLMs.
• Proven track record in developing or investigating memory and retrieval systems (RAG, vector DBs, hybrid retrieval).
• Proficient Python developer.
• Knowledgeable in openclaw and Claude Code harness architecture.
• Possess an early-stage startup mindset; capable of thriving in ambiguous situations and executing tasks with speed.
• Strong ownership mentality with the ability to clarify ambiguous problems.
• Ability to keep up with the latest research and apply it in real-world deployments.
• Deeply curious about turning non-deterministic LLM outputs into consistent, reliable results and replicating expert human intuitions.
