Staff Full Stack Engineer – Sell Side Engine

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of architecture-level decisions for integration-intensive systems connecting Origination & New Products to Rosso, Data, and Billing.

• Assist in launching the first new product category to go live and generate qualified leads within a six-month timeframe.

• Aid in automating tendering processes to enhance quote capacity.

• Transform a manual, error-prone pricing procedure into a productized solution.

• Create deal-gating risk tools for new commercial risk categories.

• Convert commercially driven, undefined challenges into actionable plans.

• Facilitate integrations across teams without having direct authority over those teams.

• Design, construct, and deploy challenging components of the new-product sequence.

• Primarily develop backend systems while also contributing to the React/TypeScript frontend when necessary.

• Produce clean, well-tested code.

• Engage in code reviews and enhance team practices and documentation.


⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive technical expertise in backend and systems design.

• Proven history of making architecture-level decisions on complex, integration-heavy systems.

• Proficiency in Python, AWS serverless technologies (Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, EventBridge), and event-driven architectures.

• Familiarity with React/TypeScript is advantageous.

• Capability to transform ambiguous problems into actionable plans.

• Experience in delivering work where a critical dependency relies on a team without direct authority.

• Demonstrated product delivery experience as a Full Stack or Backend Engineer in a startup or fast-paced product environment.

• Responsibility for complex projects from initiation to completion.

• Experience in mentoring engineers or establishing technical direction is preferred.

• Background in energy, fintech, or other regulated, high-stakes commercial sectors is desirable.

• Knowledge of workflow orchestration, event-driven systems, or real-time pricing engines is a plus.

• Experience in launching new product lines from the ground up is advantageous.

• Proficient in spoken, written, and reading English.
