This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Enhance security, reliability, and delivery across various projects and products.
• Define, design, and execute medium-to-large initiatives while minimizing technical debt, risks, and operational complexities.
• Provide support and mentorship to team members by sharing expertise and fostering collaboration.
• Adhere to and enhance engineering and DevSecOps practices for secure and reliable feature delivery.
• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain scalable and secure software services, with a focus on backend systems, microservices, and APIs.
• Engage in architecture and design discussions regarding cloud architecture, application security, scalability, reliability, and technology selection.
• Construct and manage CI/CD pipelines for automated building, testing, security validation, deployment, and releases.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar tools for AWS infrastructure.
• Create and oversee containerized applications and platforms utilizing Docker and Kubernetes/EKS.
• Integrate security controls, automated security testing, vulnerability scanning, secrets management, and compliance checks.
• Deploy and uphold observability solutions, including logging, metrics, tracing, alerting, and performance monitoring.
• Diagnose complex application, infrastructure, deployment, and production challenges; conduct root-cause analysis and implement preventative measures.
• Perform code, architecture, infrastructure, and security reviews.
• Engage in vulnerability management, threat assessments, security reviews, and remediation efforts.
• Implement AWS security, compliance, governance, and access control practices.
• Generate technical documentation, architecture diagrams, deployment procedures, runbooks, API documentation, and operational procedures.
• Collaborate with software engineers, architects, security and infrastructure teams, and stakeholders.
• Mentor engineers while promoting automation, security, reliability, continuous improvement, and knowledge sharing.
• Assess emerging technologies and propose tools and practices.
• Contribute to technical estimation, prioritization, planning, and delivery of engineering initiatives.
• Must be a US Citizen or Green Card holder; sponsorship is not available.
• Must have resided in the US for at least the past 3 years.
• Must meet the criteria to hold a position of Public Trust, including successful completion of a US Government background investigation.
• Extensive expertise in DevSecOps, AWS, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, containers, automation, and security.
• Proficient in Java (SpringBoot), Maven, Angular, TypeScript, and JavaScript.
• Nice to have: experience in a large-scale system with over 100 users.
• Nice to have: familiarity with PostgreSQL, Camunda, FHIR, and AI/ML technologies.
