This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Act as a liaison between software development and operations, ensuring the provision of reliable, scalable, and secure production services.
• Combine continuous delivery methodologies with infrastructure automation.
• Partner with developers, quality assurance engineers, security experts, and product managers.
• Assist engineering leadership with change management, CI/CD pipeline design and upkeep, and daily platform operations.
• Define, deploy, and validate infrastructure systems.
• Design and implement automated, reproducible environments utilizing infrastructure-as-code tools.
• Develop, optimize, and maintain comprehensive CI/CD pipelines.
• Manage and enhance Kubernetes cluster workloads, including deployment, networking, storage, Helm charts, and resource governance.
• Strengthen container images and enforce Kubernetes RBAC and network policies.
• Create and manage observability solutions with dashboards, alerts, and incident management processes.
• Integrate shift-left security testing, secret management, role-based access controls, and automated vulnerability scanning.
• Maintain logging, metrics, and distributed tracing frameworks.
• Incorporate security best practices within the development lifecycle via DevSecOps.
• Produce documentation and facilitate knowledge-sharing sessions.
• Document infrastructure, architecture, runbooks, and operational procedures.
• Create, modify, and adhere to SOPs; enhance processes and standardize templates.
• Undertake ad-hoc and cross-functional tasks or projects as assigned.
• A Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related discipline, along with 5+ years of relevant experience is essential.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in DevOps, site reliability engineering, or infrastructure engineering is required.
• Proficiency with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, or ArgoCD is necessary.
• Experience within a Pharmaceutical or Biotechnology organization is preferred.
• Extensive knowledge of monitoring, logging, and observability tools, including Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, and ELK.
• Solid understanding of networking fundamentals.
• Capability to apply security best practices, including image hardening, RBAC, network policies, and vulnerability scanning integration.
• Strong expertise in Linux systems, Git, and container registry management.
• Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform or Ansible.
• Proficient scripting abilities in Bash, Python, or similar languages.
• Technical expertise and hands-on experience with Kubernetes, covering deployment, networking, storage, and Helm.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills across both technical and non-technical teams.
• Ability to work collaboratively within teams across functions.
• Strong project management skills coupled with attention to detail.
• Willingness to work in El Segundo, CA, or remotely based on geographic location as indicated in the offer letter.
• Regular work schedule from Monday to Friday during standard business hours.
• Must have the ability to work in a standard office environment and utilize standard office equipment, including a computer.
