Senior Release Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Assist with Enterprise Bundled Releases (EBR) as well as OFF-EBR releases.

• Manage deployment coordination and aid in release planning, preparation, and execution.

• Implement and oversee application deployments in both Non-Production and Production environments.

• Develop and sustain deployment runbooks, implementation strategies, and release documentation.

• Facilitate rollback procedures and conduct post-release validation activities.

• Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines utilizing Jenkins, Bitbucket, and GitHub.

• Monitor and document release activities, issues, risks, and dependencies using Jira and CRR processes.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in development, QA, environment, and operations throughout the release process.

• Provide support during critical release windows and escalate issues as necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficiency in Jenkins, GitHub, Jira, Bitbucket, and YAML Pipelines.

• Experience with Terraform.

• Knowledge of Shell/PowerShell scripting.

• Familiarity with Python is preferred.

• Understanding of AWS deployment concepts.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Excellent coordination and stakeholder management skills.

• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and support critical release periods.

• Proactive mindset for identifying and escalating issues.

• 2 to 5 years of experience in Release Engineering, DevOps, Application Support, or Deployment Management.

• Practical experience with CI/CD tools and deployment processes.

• Exposure to both Production and Non-Production release support.

• Advanced level of English proficiency.

• Applicants must be based in Mexico.
