Staff Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Tennessee.

📋 Description

• Lead full-stack development as a technical advocate, collaborating with functional leads and architects.

• Operate within an agile development framework.

• Steer the design, development, and deployment of software solutions in line with requirements and agreed timelines.

• Create comprehensive technical specifications derived from requirements and design.

• Conduct code evaluations and offer constructive feedback.

• Act as a technical authority in software design, development, coding, testing, and debugging.

• Adhere to engineering best practices while suggesting innovations.

• Acquire new technologies and address integration challenges involving cloud and product infrastructure.

• Mentor junior engineers and enhance the team's technological capabilities.

• Champion technical standards and improvements across TRHC.

• Work approximately 40 hours weekly and assist customer needs outside of regular business hours on an as-needed basis.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

• Over 8 years of experience that combines domain expertise with modern programming languages and concepts.

• Strong skills in architecture and system design.

• Proven experience in delivering customer value quickly while ensuring high software quality.

• Proficient in JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.JS, HTML/CSS, and React.

• Familiarity with development tools such as Git and Jira.

• Competence in development processes, including pair programming, quality assurance, and deployments.

• Experience with instrumentation, analytics, and performance measurement.

• Knowledge of MS SQL Server and MySQL is advantageous.

• Familiarity with agile methodologies is a plus.

• Experience with AWS or GCP is beneficial.

• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with teams to devise effective solutions.

• Strong attention to detail.

• Ability to communicate complex issues, plans, and concepts to varied audiences.

• Exceptional oral, written, and presentation skills.

• Must be willing to work extended hours when necessary and be available outside of normal business hours on an ad-hoc basis.
