This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take ownership of measurement strategies for Syndio's essential user workflows, including offer endorsement, approval, and acceptance.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to design and validate event instrumentation for new features.
• Conduct in-depth analyses of feature adoption, workflow completion, user engagement, customer outcomes, and operational trends.
• Create and manage production-grade dashboards and self-service reporting using Mixpanel, BigQuery, and BI tools.
• Transform usage data into prioritized recommendations for technical, product, and executive stakeholders.
• Define and spearhead analytical strategies for new compensation and workforce data products.
• Integrate aggregated and anonymized first-party data with compensation market data, job postings, skills data, and other third-party resources.
• Develop diagnostics to assess compensation governance and execution health.
• Lead initiatives from exploration and hypothesis formulation through validation, productionization, commercialization, and launch.
• Assess proposed data products for analytical defensibility, interpretability, commercial value, privacy preservation, and responsible use.
• Contribute to Syndio's give-to-get data strategy.
• Act as a senior analytical partner in product discovery, sprint planning, roadmap discussions, business reviews, and product planning cycles.
• Collaborate with Data Science on experiment design, causal analysis, model evaluation, and measurement of model-assisted workflows.
• Work with Customer Success and Sales to link product usage and data-product insights to customer value, health, and renewal risk.
• Establish standards for event data, analytical quality, documentation, interpretability, privacy, and responsible data usage.
• Provide technical and analytical leadership to fellow practitioners, enhance data literacy, and build self-service capabilities.
• Over 8 years of experience in product analytics, data science, analytics engineering, or a similar role, with significant experience supporting software products and/or developing analytical products.
• Expertise in AI-assisted development tools and workflows.
• Knowledge of emerging AI and BI innovations, including natural-language interfaces, automated insights, semantic layers, and agentic workflows.
• Proven track record of providing direction and leading complex, cross-functional initiatives with considerable product or business impact.
• Advanced proficiency in SQL and solid working knowledge of Python, R, or a comparable analytical language.
• In-depth understanding of statistical measurement, benchmarking, experimentation, data modeling, segmentation, data quality assessment, and analytical validation.
• Experience in designing event schemas, product measurement strategies, funnels, dashboards, and self-service reporting using tools like Mixpanel, Amplitude, Looker, Tableau, or equivalent.
• Demonstrated ability to combine large, imperfect datasets into analytically defensible, interpretable, and commercially valuable products or insights.
• Exceptional judgment and comfort operating in ambiguous and evolving problem spaces.
• Capability to influence senior stakeholders, articulate complex methodologies clearly, and foster alignment across technical and non-technical audiences.
• Extra credit: Experience with instrumenting or evaluating a GenAI-native product, including model-assisted workflows.
• Extra credit: Familiarity with compensation, pay equity, workforce planning, labor-market data, job architecture, skills taxonomies, or people analytics.
