This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Minnesota.
• Conduct data analysis on environmental and engineering datasets.
• Create processes that automate the transformation, analysis, and visualization of data.
• Engage with artificial intelligence and machine learning projects, including the deployment of agentic systems.
• Collaborate with teams to gather requirements and user stories for digital tools and processes.
• Contribute to process enhancements and special initiatives.
• Assist with data analysis, data infrastructure, artificial intelligence, and automation projects.
• Support both internal and client-facing initiatives.
• Currently enrolled in management information systems, computer science, data science, or a related field such as engineering with a focus on technology.
• Must have at least one semester remaining to complete after the internship.
• Basic knowledge of programming in Python, SQL, and/or other languages.
• Understanding of fundamental concepts related to artificial intelligence and machine learning.
• Familiarity with data systems and architectures.
• Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Strong oral and written communication abilities.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a strong eagerness to learn.
• Team-oriented with a readiness to assist wherever needed.
• Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, time management, and follow-through.
• Valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship from Barr, now or in the future.
