📋 Description

• Take ownership of the semantic layer by designing and sustaining metrics, dimensions, and data models as the definitive source of truth.

• Organize the Databricks and GCP-based data platform to support AI-driven analytics agents.

• Create clean schemas within Unity Catalog, implement consistent naming conventions, and establish robust data contracts.

• Integrate observability, testing, and alerting features into data pipelines.

• Collaborate with product, clinical, and business teams to provide self-service analytics tools and dashboards.

• Set and uphold data modeling conventions, documentation standards, and norms for code reviews.

• Convert vague business inquiries into actionable data solutions.

• Work together with product engineering to enhance event logging and measurement coverage.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of experience in analytics engineering, data engineering, or data architecture, demonstrating a clear progression to a staff-level role with significant impact.

• In-depth SQL knowledge and strong proficiency in Python.

• Solid understanding of data modeling principles.

• Familiarity with modern data stack tools such as Databricks, Snowflake or BigQuery, Airflow or similar orchestration tools, and Looker/Tableau or comparable BI solutions.

• Proven history of developing resilient, monitored, production-grade data systems.

• Excellent communication skills to convey technical trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders effectively.

• Experience in health tech or regulated data environments (HIPAA, PHI/PII handling) is a plus.

• Knowledge of Databricks Unity Catalog, Delta Lake, or Spark is a plus.

• Experience in building or integrating AI/LLM-powered analytics tools or data agents is a plus.

• GCP experience is a plus.
