Senior Analytics Engineer, Finance Data

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain, +4 more countries.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with Treasury, Reconciliation, and Accounting teams on processes, priorities, and data support.

• Develop treasury data products that encompass positions, cash flows, and liquidity.

• Create and enhance reconciliation processes for systematic management of matching, breaks, and exceptions.

• Assist Accounting with data, checks, and integrations for both closing and daily operations.

• Facilitate corporate finance and investor reporting through a shared model and consistent definitions.

• Design and refine Finance data models, entities, and metrics with testing, lineage, and documentation.

• Establish Finance data standards and implement quality checks.

• Construct integrations with Finance systems.

• Implement automation and agents within Finance workflows to minimize repetitive manual tasks.

• Identify opportunities for process improvements and align data initiatives with business costs and value.

• Report directly to the Head of Central Data.

• Take ownership of the data roadmap for treasury, reconciliation, and accounting over time.

• Mentor colleagues in analytics-engineering practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• Experience in or closely associated with Finance, including treasury, reconciliation, accounting, or FP&A.

• Familiarity with finance-function processes, such as closing, cash and liquidity management, reconciliations, and reporting.

• Proficient SQL skills.

• Strong skills in dimensional or semantic data modeling.

• Experience in creating metrics and data products utilized by other teams.

• Background in ETL and data warehouse or lakehouse processes, including end-to-end source onboarding.

• A precision-over-speed mindset when the two are at odds.

• Capacity to grasp business processes, propose solutions, and articulate them in terms of business value.

• Experience with Databricks and Unity Catalog (preferred).

• Experience integrating ERP, accounting, banking, or treasury systems (preferred).

• Familiarity with workflow automation or agents in financial processes (preferred).

• Experience with CI/CD, orchestration, and infrastructure-as-code (preferred).

• Background in fintech, banking, or payments (preferred).
