Staff Content Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Italy, +2 more countries.

📋 Description

• Manage content collections for Italy, Germany, and France as a single product.

• Establish and execute a cohesive roadmap and shared KPIs for legal content in Italian, German, and French.

• Enhance ROI by increasing win rates, fostering customer trust, improving retention, and driving revenue.

• Oversee coverage maps for case law and legislation across all three markets.

• Identify coverage gaps and spearhead decisions on building, acquiring, and licensing in collaboration with Licensing, Legal, and Corporate Development.

• Maintain a prioritized backlog in conjunction with Content Ops and Engineering teams.

• Enhance ingestion and enrichment pipelines across the three regions, including transitioning to Iceberg.

• Create scalable pipelines owned by Clio and set standards for monitoring, fault tolerance, and disaster recovery.

• Evaluate and enhance legal data enrichment in collaboration with Editorial and Ops teams.

• Establish shared metadata and structural standards tailored to each legal system.

• Lead AI-assisted enrichment initiatives for legal content discovery and downstream AI applications.

• Assess the financial and product impact of content expenditures in cooperation with Finance and FP&A.

• Maintain dashboards to track cost per document, ingestion speed, coverage parity, and enrichment reach.

• Present quarterly updates to the Content Committee on roadmap progress, risks, and business impact.

• Compare Clio’s coverage and quality against regional legal content providers.

• Cultivate partnerships with courts, publishers, and open-data organizations.

• Monitor advancements in AI and NLP methods for legal text tagging, summarization, and merging.

• Act as the internal authority on Italian, German, and French legal materials.

• Provide training for Product, Sales, Marketing, and Support teams.

• Maintain an internal Legal Materials Reference Guide.

• Support enterprise RFPs and significant sales initiatives.

• Collaborate with Product Marketing and Sales Enablement to develop go-to-market content.

• Contribute competitive intelligence to pricing, packaging, and market-entry strategies.

⛳️ Requirements

• 7–10 years of experience in legal publishing, legal data operations, or product and content management, with a proven history of managing a legal content portfolio from start to finish.

• In-depth understanding of at least one of the Italian, German, or French legal systems and their respective publishing markets.

• Working knowledge of, or the ability to quickly become fluent in, the other two legal systems and markets.

• Proficiency in English and native-level fluency in Italian, German, or French is essential.

• Demonstrated experience utilizing Italian, German, or French case law and legislation to support legal practice or research platforms.

• A proven track record of setting strategic direction and owning outcomes at a senior or staff level, beyond merely managing projects.

• Strong product ownership skills with the capability to lead cross-functional teams without direct reporting lines across multiple markets.

• Data-driven approach to prioritization and ROI modeling across three distinct content sets.

• Technical proficiency in ETL pipelines, ingestion systems, and metadata frameworks.

• Effective communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including executives.

• Ability to manage competing priorities across three different markets, languages, and legal systems simultaneously.
