Staff Business Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Proactively investigate channel performance and address business inquiries.

• Analyze attribution and the underlying data structures to identify discrepancies and validate vendor assertions.

• Assess new attribution or measurement service providers.

• Develop response/lift models, allocation logic, and straightforward regressions to support offline and direct mail decision-making.

• Oversee multi-cell test mail merges and data extraction for direct mail assessments.

• Create dashboards and analyze outcomes to inform list selection and optimization strategies.

• Design dashboards and frameworks to monitor and visualize key performance indicators (KPIs).

• Present findings and insights to stakeholders effectively.

• Persuade channel managers to implement recommendations based on analysis.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in business intelligence, analytics, or data science with reputable companies or high-growth tech startups.

• At least 3 years of experience in building and maintaining BI reporting using tools like Hex or Mode regularly.

• Over 3 years of experience utilizing SQL consistently.

• Proven experience in creating statistical or predictive models beyond basic dashboard functions.

• Familiarity with Python for data analysis and model development.

• Ability to work with ambiguous, incomplete, or conflicting data sets.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; capable of translating technical insights into actionable recommendations for non-technical audiences.

• A self-starter approach; adept at identifying problems and opportunities independently.

• Preferred: Experience with experimentation and Bayesian measurement techniques.

• Preferred: Background in direct mail, offline, or other non-digital marketing channels.

• Preferred: Experience with dbt or managing data pipelines/marts.

• Preferred: Knowledge of difference-in-difference, incrementality testing, and general linear models.
